Network cable most commonly used for local area networks. Category 6 includes cabling whose bandwidth requirements are up to 250 MHZ (bandwidth of 200 Mbps).It provides for the implementation of a Gigabit Ethernet (4x 250MHz =1GHZ) and 622 Mbps ATM transmission . It is constructed of 4 pairs of cables twisted together to eliminate electromagnetic and mutual interference. The cables are made of pure copper and surrounded by HDPE coating with a diameter of 0.92 ± 0.03mm, which is characterised by increased density and particularly high diaphragm insulation. They have an external PVC coating with a thickness of 0.50 ± 0.05mm.
