The Extralink SFP+-ZR has been designed for fibre optics 8.5G/10G and 10GBE. The single-mode SFP optical module consists of two sections: the transmitter section contains an EML laser and the receiver section consists of an APD photodiode integrated into the TIA. All modules meet Class I laser safety requirements. The digital diagnostic functions of the SFP+-ZR are available via a 2-wire serial interface, allowing real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser beam current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and the supply voltage of the single-mode SFP insert. The SFP+ 10G module can operate at data rates of ≤4.25Gbps or 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps.
