The Extralink AI-8C uses technology positioning of fibres to the core (positionable to the sheath) to ensure the best attenuation performance of the welds made. The fibres are positioned by 6 high-performance motors (Siemens)This is absolutely unprecedented in equipment from this price range. The splicer can be used for 100 km of fibre-optic lines, FTTH installations, as well as short point-to-point connections, LAN installations or video surveillance based on fibre-optic cabling. The AI-8C model is based on 4-core processor providing a fast response time (the welder is ready to work after 3 seconds) and short welding and weld shielding times. This welder is one of the fastest units of its type currently available on the market and the fastest in this price class.
Comfortable working in any light
5.1-inch display with 800×480 px resolution i adjustable brightness ensures comfortable working even under difficult lighting conditions. The optical system offers 300x image magnificationwhich directly affects the quality of the welding process and the visual analysis of the welds made (viewing in two planes). Minimum welding time is 6 seconds, a welding time for 40 mm covers is only 15 seconds. Built-in welder LED light makes it possible to perform welds (and fibre work) even in total darkness.
Universal fibre holders
Universal fibre handles for comfort and speed of work - 250 μm, 900 μm fibre in a tight and loose tube as well as patchcord and/or DROP cables can be laid. The splicer offers various splicing programmes and an Auto mode, which works well in most situations.
Robust and practical welding kit
Welder housing is made of metalcovered underneath with protective rubber, the cover for the welding chamber and the cooker are made of high-quality plastic. The set offered includes a practical box which, in addition to the welder, holds all the necessary tools, power supply and accessories (retractable in the two-tier drawer mounted on sturdy metal rails). Importantly, it is not necessary to remove the welder from the box in order to weld - so you get a solid and stable support. The box itself is made of robust plastic and has a detachable element that can be used as a stool or a small table.
High-capacity and fast-charging battery
The welder is equipped with 7800 mAh battery. It provides a performance of approx. 200 weld and cover weld cycles. The battery charging time is only 3.5 h. The design of the welder provides very quick battery change (pressing the button on the housing pulls it out) - a spare battery can be purchased.
