Fibre optic cable for microducting Extralink ZM-XOTKtsD 48F

Extralink 48J ZM-XOTKtsD is a technologically advanced fibre optic cable which, thanks to its multi-tube construction (12 fibres per tube + fillers), is used for both in outdoor microducts as well as in microducts and indoor installations. It is characterised not only by its high data transmission efficiency, but also by its considerable resistance to harsh conditions.

Construction and materials

This cable is reinforced with a central bar made of fibre-reinforced polymer (FPR)which provides it with exceptional mechanical resistance. The use of optical fibres of the type G.652D, characterised by high strength, enables the cable to be laid easily even in difficult conditions.

Protection and resilience

Protection against external influences such as moisture or vibration is provided by the hydrophobic gel filling for cable tubes. The whole is further protected by outer shell made of HDPE polyethylene, which is not only highly resistant to water, chemical agents and UV radiation, but also to extreme temperatures, up to 60°C. As a result, the fibre optic cable for microducting is perfectly suited to varying environmental conditions.

Installation facilities

The cable is equipped with thin rope (ripcord)which facilitates the removal of the outer shell, making the installation process significantly quicker and easier.
