Description
Extralink Krios PoE switch with Gigabit ports
It is a 6-port unmanaged switch with 4 PoE ports with a maximum speed of 1000 Mbps, with support for IEEE 802.3af/at standards with a maximum power per port of up to 30W. The switch also features 2 RJ45 ports without PoE option. These ports can be used as Uplink ports or for connecting additional devices such as a video recorder in monitoring applications.
Four additional modes of PoE switch operation
The KRIOS switch has four switches on the front that allow additional modes to be activated to improve performance or network coverage. Below is a representation of the operating rules for each mode:
- VLAN mode-When this mode is enabled, ports 1-4 are isolated from each other, which can effectively suppress broadcast storms and improve network performance.
- EXTEND mode - allows ports 1-4 to effectively transmit data and PoE power over distances of up to 250 metres, ideal for video surveillance systems.
- AI PS mode - the switch automatically detects the operating status of a connected device to one of the PoE ports and when it determines that it is operating incorrectly automatically restarts the device.
- AI QoS mode - in this mode of operation, video data is prioritised to ensure smooth video. A solution used primarily in monitoring solutions.
Power over Ethernet
Switch Krios supports the standards IEEE 802.3 af/at, which automatically detects and identifies PoE devices that comply with these standards and provides them with power, so there is no need to worry about devices that do not need power via PoE (those that do not support IEEE 802.3 af/at standards), the switch will not power these devices. The maximum power of the power supply included with the switch is 60W.
