Extralink Chiron is a 24-port switch layers 3 nowej generacji. Jest on skierowany do sieci IP MAN (metropolitan area network), sieci rządowych i korporacyjnych, kafejek internetowych. Jest on opracowany na podstawie wysokowydajnego sprzętu i obsługuje takie funkcje, jak wydajne ACL, elastyczne QinQ, przełączanie 1:1 lub N:1 VLAN, Ethernet OAM, carrier-level QoS i industry-level 10GE Ether-ring. Obsługuje również protokół routingu warstwy 3.
High reliability
Based on an advanced distribution mechanism and an efficient cross-physical link aggregation function, the logic control plane, service control plane and service data plane are separated. Thanks to this Extralink Chiron can support continuous routing redirection at Layer 3, avoiding service disruption as a result of a single failure.
Telecommunications level Ethernet switch
Chiron Supports telecom-level Ethernet protection protocol with less than 50 ms protection delay, STP/RSTP/MSTP, active and backup uplinks and LACP link aggregation to ensure high service reliability. It provides an excellent Ethernet OAM mechanism for real-time network health monitoring for rapid problem location and detection.
Supports In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) to ensure uninterrupted data transfer during system updates. Supports various functions L2 multicastof which IGMP-Snooping, fast-leave and trans-vlan.
Flexible and convenient management and maintenance

The advanced hardware infrastructure design implements level-based packet scheduling and packet protection, prevents DoS-/TCP attacks associated with SYN flood, UDP flood, broadcast storm or high traffic, and supports level-based command line protection, giving different levels of users different management privileges.
