Extralink Chiron - Gigabit PoE switch with SFP+ ports
Extralink Chiron Pro is a 24-port switch layers 3 with next-generation PoE power supply. It is targeted at IP MAN (metropolitan area network), government and corporate networks, Internet cafes. It is developed on high-performance hardware and supports features such as efficient ACLs, flexible QinQ, 1:1 or N:1 VLAN switching, Ethernet OAM, carrier-level QoS and industry-level 10GE Ether-ring. It also supports Layer 3 routing protocol.
High reliability
Based on an advanced distribution mechanism and an efficient cross-physical link aggregation function, the logic control plane, service control plane and service data plane are separated. Thanks to this Extralink Chiron Pro can support continuous routing redirection at Layer 3, avoiding service disruption as a result of a single failure.
Telecommunications level Ethernet switch
Chiron Pro Supports telecom-level Ethernet protection protocol with less than 50 ms protection delay, STP/RSTP/MSTP, active and backup uplinks and LACP link aggregation to ensure high service reliability. It provides an excellent Ethernet OAM mechanism for real-time network health monitoring for rapid problem location and detection.
Supports In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) to ensure uninterrupted data transfer during system updates. Supports various functions L2 multicastof which IGMP-Snooping, fast-leave and trans-vlan.
Flexible and convenient management and maintenance

- Supports WEB management mode, which is easy and efficient, making installation and debugging convenient
- Support for file upload/download management using the TFTP protocol

QoS rules at operator level
- Supports priority retagging and complex flow classification based on VLAN, MAC, source address, destination address, IP or priority to increase service levels
- Provides a flexible bandwidth control policy and supports port/flow-based flow limit, as well as providing redirection of each port's line speed to ensure high quality video, audio and data services
- Supports 8 priority queues per port
- Supports multiple queue scheduling algorithms, e.g. SP, WRR and SP+WRR
Comprehensive IPv6 solutions
- Supports IPv6 protocol suite, IPv6 neighbour detection, ICMPv6, path MTU detection, etc.
- Supports Ping, Traceroute, Telnet, SSH, ACLs on an IPv6 basis, meeting IPv6 network requirements for equipment management and service control
Excellent safety mechanisms
The advanced hardware infrastructure design implements level-based packet scheduling and packet protection, prevents DoS-/TCP attacks associated with SYN flood, UDP flood, broadcast storm or high traffic, and supports level-based command line protection, giving different levels of users different management privileges.
Intelligent PoE+
Extralink Chiron Pro supports the standard IEEE 802.3af/at PoE with a combined maximum power 370W.
