Description
PoE switch for monitoring
Extralink CERES is 10-port PoE switch with 4 operating modes: AI QoS mode, AI VLAN mode, AI Extend mode, and smart power mode. AI QoS mode is ideal for monitoring applications, ensures that video data is processed with the highest priority to ensure smoothness.
Port separation using the VLAN function
The AI VLAN mode makes ports 1-8 are isolated from each other, which can effectively suppress broadcast storms and improve network performance.
Supply cameras up to 250 metres and monitor equipment performance in real time.
In AI Extend 1-8 mode, the ports can effectively transmit data and PoE power supply for up to 250 metres, which is ideal for monitoring systems, and for powering cameras and access points. In AI PoE mode, the switch automatically detects the operating status of the connected device and when it determines that it is working incorrectly automatically restarts the device.
How does a PoE switch work?
The device supports the IEEE 802.3af/at standard, which automatically detects and identifies PoE devices that are compliant with the IEEE 802.3af/at standard and provides power to them, there is no need to worry about the possibility of damaging a device that does not need power via PoE, if the switch detects that a device is not compliant with the 802.3af/at standard, it will not apply power to that device.
Key features:
- AI Extend mode: ports 1-8 support power over 250 metres (use Cat5e or Cat6 cable)
- AI VLAN mode: Isolation of ports 1-8 from each other
- AI QoS mode: Adjusting the priority of video data packets. Video surveillance transmission is smoother
- AI PoE mode: Automatically detects non-responding devices, shuts down PoE power on the respective port to which the device is connected and restarts the power supply
- Supports the IEEE 802.3af/at standard
- Auto MDI/MDIX support
- Store-and-forward
- Power circuit protection, to protect terminal equipment
- Fan-less design to save energy
- Energy saving function on unused ports
