24-port shielded patchpanel is used to route the cables of the various SCS subsystems and to connect individual network components to each other using patch cables. Subscriber cables are connected using the LSA-type IDC straight-through contact method. Standard RJ-45 sockets are mounted on the front of the panel, in groups of 8 ports. The panel is mounted using a standard tool designed for LSA Block type connectors.
