Description
A battery is a solution designed to store energy that can be repeatedly discharged and recharged with electricity.
In VLRA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) gel batteries, the electrolyte is held in the form of a gel, formed when sulphuric acid is mixed with special silica.
They are increasingly replacing the well-known acid or alkaline models due to their properties such as:
- require no special maintenance or topping up of electrolyte
- the battery room needs no additional ventilation
- perform well in buffer operation with a service life of up to 5 years
- lower internal resistance and higher energy efficiency than traditional batteries
- much lighter and smaller than acid batteries while retaining the same capacity
- more resistant to extreme temperatures, vibrations and shocks
VLRAs are batteries that do not emit gases under normal conditions and retain their integrity. As a result, they do not require installation in special rooms with ventilation. In addition, they can be installed and operated in any position. Restricting electrolyte leakage outside the enclosure significantly reduces corrosion in the battery's working environment and helps protect the environment.
